PARCELS POST.

SIZE REDUCTION POSTPONED. Owing to protests made in the Press and by many members of the business community direct to the authorities the Chief Postmaster at Auckland, Mr. W. J. Gow, has been advised from Wei- •• lington that the proposed new regulation reducing the sifce of parcels will not be given effect to on July 1 as intended. It is understood that the matter will be given further consideration. Meantime - the regulation stands "postponed." The proposal was to have curtailed the size of inland post parcels from a maximum length and breadth measurement of 84in to 72in, and this was protested against on the ground thai it would seriously inconvenience many manufacturers and others whose parcels would • conform to the old measure but not to the new.
