BECOMING A HABIT.
DEFEATS OF GOVERNMENT. NOTHING SIGNIFICANT. (Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 25. The novelty attaching to the Government defeats in the Eouse of Commons is somewhat wearing off. For the sixth time the Ministry received a set-back when the amendment on the Traffic Bill was carried by 195 to 16S, the Conservatives and Liberals combining .in tho majority. The amendment pressed the Transport Ministry to adopt a certain arrangement for submitting regulations to Parliament, to which the Minister objected, as it would hamper his Department's work. The defeat is regarded as unimportant. (Reuter.)
