PROTECTION IN INDIA.
NEW TARIFF BILL. DELHI, June 9. The Assembly has passed a bill providing for the protection of the steel industries. It rejected the proposed protective duties on agricultural implements, but restored the protective duty on the tinplate industry, which the Select Committee had omitted.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
