MINE MANAGEES' KEPORTS. Rising Sun.—The mine manager reports as follows: No. 4 U.S.. So. IR, No. 3 Level: No change has taken place; the lode gives an averntrp width of 121n, worth £"> 8/ per ton. No. :; \ No. 1R: The lode is beinj; broken out over an average width of 20in, worth £6 per ton. No. 28, No. lit: The lode has made a slight Improvement In width, being 2ft wide, worth £3 18/ per ton. Tills is the hardest ldde to break in the mine. No. 18, No. LR Sooth: At this point the lode is bclne broken oat over an average width of 2ft Cm, worth £4 8/ per ton. Extra men will be placed at an early date and output of mill increased. Zcehan Consolidated.—The drive on the No. 3 branch reef has l>een extended sft for the week, m.nkinjj the total distance from the crosscut 50ft; the reef has been broken down, showing strong bands or sliver sulphides, along with the usual associated minerals; the face is getting moist, showing that the junction with the No. 3 reef Is not far away. All machinery for the roci drilling plant and Ross mill are in position, and it Is expected to have a trial run this week.
