AUSTRALASIAN CHAMPIONSHIP THE DARGAVILLE RACE. ; (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DARGAVTLLE, this day. , The Australasian Championship Scul- . ling Race has been definitely fixed to j take place on the Northern Wairoa I River, Dargaville, on June 7, over a • course three and a quarter miles, for a stake of £500, subscribed by local . residents. The present entrants are:— > W. MeDcvitt and Geo. Ceruti, Australia, , W. Mason, Whanjiarei, and Darcy Hadfield, Auckland. Several inquiries have also beeD made 'by prominent scullers . from Australia and it is expected that iat least seven will complete. The race . is the first of its kind for the Austras lasian Championship and is attracting • considerable attention.
