MOTOR CAR SERVICES.
IN THE FOXTON AREA. (By Telegraph.—Presa Association ) FOXTON, this day. The Foston-Palmerston train did not run this morning. Passengers proceeded to their destinations by motor cars. Passenger and goods'mptor services are now established between Foxton and Palmerston, which will meet the situation. The goods shed is filled, but contains nothing periihable, and private delivery is being arranged. The strike locally affects less than twenty men. EFFECT ON SCHOOLS. It is feared that the railway strike will affect the attendance at Auckland I secondary schools, but at present it is impossible to say what the result will be, since the Grammar Schools do not reopen till to-morrow. At the Technical College, wßere mo gt of the students come from homes close to the city" the director reported today that there was na appreciable falling off in the attendance. - • "■"—■■•.■
