THE DOCK STRIKE.
A NEW BILL. STRIKES AND LOCKOUTS. (Received 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 30. A bill has been introduced in ihe House of Lords making either strikes or lockouts illegal between the appointment of a court of inquiry into a dispute and the presentation of its report thereon. For breaches the employers are liable to a minimum fine of £20 (maximum £200 daily), and employees £2 (maximum £10 daily).— (A. and N.Z.)
