IKCERTS FOR NEW ZEALAND. HELD IN CHICAGO. NEW YORK, March 30. On the occasion of the opening of one the newest and most powerful radio ladcasting stations in Chicago, a raial programme for Australia and New iland, comprising music, lectures, etc., s chosen, including greetings from iminent Australians. Mr. D. Mackinnon (Trade Commisner for Australia), in his message, laid ess on the friendship between Aus.lia and America. He said the value neighbourliness must depend upon full lerstanding, and understanding must founded on knowledge. "I can see," he d, "the knowledge of, and interest in, " Southern land increasing daily." n conclusion, Mr. Mackinnon quoted President Roosevelt's words: "Auslia is the most inspiring counirv in world."—(A. and N.Z.
