OBITUARY.

MRS. R. HINES, Sen. TE AROHA, Friday. The death occurred on Friday afternoon after a very long and severe illness of Mrs. R. Hines, Burke Street, Te Aroha. Mrs. Hines, who was born at West Ham, England, arrived in New Zealand on June 1, 1574, and has resided in the Waikato ever since her arrival She leaves a grown-up family to mourn their loss. The family are : Mr. R. B. Hines, Te Aroha West, and Mr. Thos. Hines, Mangaiti, Mrs. Anderson, Auckland, Mrs. McLennan, Auckland, and Mrs. Clements, Hamilton. MR. J. ARMOUR BROWN. Information has been received of the death at Mentone, South of France, of Mr. John Armour Brown, at the age of 85 years. Deceased was the senior partner in the well known firm of Brown and Poison, of Paisley, Scotland, manufacturers of cornflour and starch.
