BREWERY ON FIRE.
BUILDING BADLY DAMAGED. (By Telc;raph.—rress Association* BLENHEIM, this day. The Marlborough Brewery Company's premises, in Grove Koad, were badly | damaged by fire last evening. The buildI ing, an old wooden one, burnt rapidly. I Imt the brigade, assisted by good water pressure, made a good save after a I three-hours' struggle. The bulk of the I great vats and other appliances were : only slightly damaged. There are no I evidences as to the cause of the lire, 1 though outside interference is suspected. !It is the third lire that has occurred in I the company's premises within twelve months. The building is insured in the Queensland office for ftiOO and in the Victoria for £400: the plant in the Queensland for z72.i; the stock (undamaged i, £200. stock-in-trade and materials £-00, also in the Queensland Company.
