HEALTH OF THAMES.
HIGHLY-SATISFACTORY REPORT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent .1 THAMES, this day. A report of the Health Department concerning Thames, presented at the borough meeting last evening, showed that there had only been one scarlet fever, seven diphtheria, no typhoid, and 18 tubercular cases in twelve months. It was stated that considerable progress had been made with sewerage installation, and -that within si_ months the congested area would be ready for house connections. The council express great satisfaction at the town beiup mi healthy, the proportion of sickness uu 5000 population being so small.
