New Zealand Insurance shares held the recent advance, being still wanted at 30/ National Insurance shares sold at 78/6 a slight advance upon the previous week's buying quotation. Northern Steam paid issue -were placed at 15/, and for the contributing 6/10 could be got. Sales of Auckland Gas were made at 26/3, and this line is _ow wanted at threepence under that figlirc. The contributing shares again sold at 3/5. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency shares Armed a little this week, as far as sellers were concerned, ordinary stock being now quoted at _87, with buyers at £82. The preference issue are quoted at sellers £85 and buyers £77. Goldsborough Mort, Ltd., were wanted _iis week at 47/, but no sales resulted. Sales took place of Huddart Parker Steam shares nt 42/9, after which the buying figure dropped. Slightly better figures were offered for Kauri Timber Co. shares this week, buyers advancing their price to 28/6. Kotoitt Timber had steady inquiry at 22/, but no sellers quoted. National Timber could be placed at 18/3, but holders want 20/6. while L.OB. Timber are Inquired for regularly at 38/6. - Burns, Phllp. Ltd., firmed this week, buyers advancing their offers from 31/ to 32/6. without sellers being disclosed. Colonial Sugar have regular inquiry at £40 10/, hut here again there are no quoted sellers. Inquiry set in this week for Kempthorne, Prosser, Ltd., shares at 65/. but sellers wanted 67/. Fanners' Auctioneering ordinary shares firmed to buyers at 58/. and Milk Products are in steady demand at 25/, with no seller under 30/. Mining shares had a little more attention this week. Waihi stock sold at SO/ and 29/9. and Grand Junction, after changing hands up to 6/10. dropped back to 6/3. Monriataiari buyers advanced to 2/8" but dropped out and sellers eased from 3/ to 2/10. Inquiry was made for Rising Sun shares nt sixpence and Four in Hands at ninenence, but these rates were not accepted. Inquiry was made for Zcelian Consolidated shares this week at one shiUing, but no selling price was quoted.

LONDON SHAREMARKET.
