ATHLETES DEPART.
FAREWELL AT WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Prior to their departure for Australia yesterday the New Zealand athletic 'team was farewellpd by representatives of various athletic bodies, who all expressed confidence that the team would worthily uphold the traditions of this Dominion. A national spirit was iine.lv expressed by Mr. H. E. Wilson, who" in the course of his reply, said they -would run first for JieW Zealand, and then for themselves. ■ I* any member of the team did not Win it would not be for the want of trying-
