Far from being aloof from the real world in a calm of aristocrat hauteur , Oxford now reacts to every extreme of economic and political movement. These votaries at the Beaver shrine escorted Dr. Bludski to the meeting, which, owing to a welcome revolutionary practice, did not comprise speeches. jln time the crowd dispersed, 'but not ; before they had been put in possession jof the candidate's programme. This ;comprised among its items: — I The abolition of plus fours and other capitalist institutions. Instant execution of proctors and other counter-revolutionary malefactors. Magdalen College to be painted red. Establishment of a vodka fountain lin the centre of the city. I Removal of unemployment by the j abolition of employment. Suppression of education.
