RAILWAY FATALITY.
YOUNG WOMAN KILLED. TRUCK SMASHED TO ATOMS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. A fatal accident occurred at a level crossing on the railway near Lepperton at 9.45 this morning. An ordinary slow train coming to New Plymouth, ran into a motor truck in charge of a young man named Openshaw, whose sister, Nurse Isabel, was with him. The latter was killed, but the former escaped with slight injuries. The truck was smashed to pieces.
