JUVENILE COURT.
(Before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M.) Throe small bors appeared before the Juvenile Court this morning, all charged I with theft of moneys. ! Tlie first boy, of nine years, who had removed a small purse eoiitainhi"; the sum of 1/11 from a church during Sunday school hours, was placed in the Homo for three months. Another boy, who' admitted the theft of a watch, purse, and a knife, of the | total value of 19/7, which had been left | ou a cricket ground by another boy who i was engaged in a, garni , , was iidmonished I and discharged. ■Sergeant Kowell described the third boy, charged with the theft of f l l«/ 3in money from ft garage in Newmarket, as I a regular limb. He had gone into the garage and picked up a tin which lie thought contained g."easc to put on his trolley wheels, but on opening the lid he found that it contained the money. All of it wus spent in lollies and pictures. The boy had bee:, previously before the Juvenile Court on a similar charge. Mr. (!. IJ. Young, Juvenile Probation OHieer, suggested that the case should be adjourned tor one month to enable the boy's mental condition to be inquired into. Then if he •■■ as not normal he I could be sent to the Juvenile .Mental j Hospital at Kelson. This course the Magistrate consented to.
