FEU. FROM WHARF SHED. INQUEST OPENED. Through several lengthe of timber falling against him, causing him to lose his balance. Joseph McKeay. a carpenter, employed on the new Prince's Wharf, fell a distance of over 30 feet. death being , practically instantaneous. Deceased, who resided at 20, Brentwood Avenue, Mount Eden, was a married man. 35 years of age, and was employed by the Harbour Board as a carpenter. About 3.30 p.m. yesterday he wae engaged in removing some wooden casing from the side of the shed, when it fell against him, and he overbalanced, sustaining serious injuries to his head and legs. A doctor was summoned, but coiild only pronounce life extinct. An inquest, for identification purpose? only, was opened before Mr. -T. W. Poynton, S.M., this morning and adjourned sine die.
