SCOTLAND CHANGES HANDS.
SIX MILLION ACRES SOLO. PRICE, £70,000,000. (Received 10.RO a.m.) LOXDOX, December 30. Scotland is changing hands. Over six million acres (almost one-third of the total area of Scotland) has been sold since the land boom began in 1018, when agriculture was most prosperous owing to the high prices of stock and produce. . For five years the sales total £70,000,000. Prices declined since the summit of the boom in 1020, and many large estates which had existed for centuries have been broken into.— (A. and X.Z. Cable.)
