Frederick Allen, aged 22, shot himself and his wife with a revolver. Hearing two shots, their landlady rapped on the door. Allen opened the door, blood pouring from his face. He shouted "For God's sake, fetch a doctor, or I will bleed to death:" Allen fired a third shot, which lodged in the ceiling. Medical men are convinced the former shot instantaneously put him out of action, and that Allen when he spoke to his landlady was already dead.—"Sun.''
