THEOSOPHICAL CONVENTION.
Miss Codd. national lecturer for the British section of the Theosopbicil Society, gave the Convention lecture at the society's new hall to a crowded audience. " Her subject, "T. c Living Power of Thought." was listened to with marked attention, and during tie course of her lecture Miss Codd drew attention to the dynamic power of thought, as great, she said, as> that of electricity. The great dearth of strong. virile thinkers was one of the most potent reasons for the present world conflict. Lord Roseberry said the world needed practical mystics, men and women to see an ideal .and wcrk for it. Certain schools of thought had taken up this power, and were commercialising it. exploiting the public for their own ends. This was a prostitution of a great power that should be used for the upliftment of the race. Miss Codd explained how thought was used in auto-suggestion, psycho-analysis and character building. Within every living soul was this power to re create himself or herself, and part t-f the work of Theosophv was to arouse the thinker, and guide the thought of the !world ahing constructive lines.
