EMIGRANTS FOR AUSTRALIA.
SPRINTER IN CHARGE. LONDON, December IG. E. W. Carr, the Australian sprinter, has been appointed welfare officer in charce of migrants sailing by the Ormuz on January 5. Interviewed, he stated that weather conditions in England were adverse to keeping fit. and there were no training facilities in tbe winter months. His intention if selected for tbe Olympic Games was to concentrate training in Australia. Thus far he had received no official advice of his selection for the Australian team. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
