ASSESSING THE DAMAGE. TOKYO, December 16. The Minister of Finance (Mr. Inouye) Informed the Diet that damage by the earthquake totalled between 7,000,000,000 and 10,000.000,000 yen (£700,000.000 to i 1,000,000,0001.
