VALUE IN MANTELPIECES.

A CHOICE FOR BUYERS. MR. T. ALMOND'S FACTORY IN HOBSON STREET.

With the great revival of the building industry in the Auckland province during tbe past 18 months, it, of course, automatically reflects itself in other industries, including the furniture trade. As utility adjuncts of progress, the fine factory and showrooms of Mr. T. Almond, of 82-84, Hobson Street, are singularly fitted to participate, for the proprietor after a valuable experience nnd training of 16 years in one of the largest factories in England, specialises in mantlepieces. He has been in business for 14 years in Auckland, and that surely, is sufficient guarantee of his success as a specialist in the design and manufacture of artistic mantlepieces. In these days of attractive homes, a really well designed and constructed mantlepiece serves as a commendable means of decoration around the happy hearth, and enhances the interior beauty and value of any dwelling, whether it be that of the worker or of the gentleman. Consequently the special service of Mr. Almand merits more than passing notice. His mantlenieco showroom is the only one in the Queen City, and with models in oak, rimu, kauri, Oregan pine, and other well known and lasting woods, it distinguishes itself as the exclusive display of its kind in Auckland. Mantlepieces are sunplied wholesale or retail by Mr. Almond at from £2 10/ to f 15, all carried out with faultless workmanship and finish. His reputation as a mantlepiece and cabinet maker being recognised in the trade, he is naturally able to sell his products at bedrock prices, because the work is done on the premises, and thus the middleman's profits are eliminated, and you reap the benefit. He carries out work for the builders, the ironmongers, and the public, while if you wish, Mr. Almond undertakes private work and designs. To builders and those others building a home, the saving of the middleman's profit is always appreciated, for it means a substantial amount, in addition to which the purchaser is choosing a design that is specially selected for the purpose. It is generally conceded a wise method of buying direct from the factory. It is also a big consideration in the case of dealing with Mr. Almond, who is without doubt a highly successful manufacturer of mantlepieces.
