THEFT OF MONEY.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.! HAMILTON, This Day. In the Magistrate's Court to-day a young man named William Frederick Woodhead pleaded guilt' to stealing £16 belonging to his aged mother. It was contended for accused, who is some- ; what simple looking, that he had never I had a fair chance,, as he was taken from !school when in the second standard. Accused was placed on two years' proba Uion, and ordered to make restitution, and prohibited.
