ONEHUNGA POLICE COURT.

Mr. W. R. McKean, P.M.. presided at the Onehunga Police Court yesterday, and dealt with the following: —

Breaches of By-laws.

For leaving their motor cars without lights at night, Frederick H. Glover was fined 10/ and 9/ costs, and Frederick Addelsion was ordered to pay 7/ costs. David Levin had to pay 20/ and 17/ costs for exceeding the speed limit over intersections of streets. For a similar offence Petie Morris was fined 10/ and 11/ costs. A second charge of dangerous driving of a motor car cost him £2 11/. Frank Livingstone got off with a fine of 5/ and 9/ costs for driving his motor car at night without lights. It cost Leopold VVeston double that amount of fine, with 9/ costs, for leaving, his motor car unattended in a main street for more than 15 minutes. Robert FarrelJ was found guilty of failing to keep a wages book. The oversight cost him 20/. In addrtioir to this item he will have to pay the Government 37/ for employing a boy under 16 years of age, and another 37/ for employing a ■boy without a. certificate of fitness. Annie Maria Gill was committed to Pakatoa Island for a breach of her prohibition order.
