MR. LANG STONE ON LAND TENURE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CARTERTON, this day. Mr. F. Langstone, Labour M.P. for Waimarino, addressed a meeting here last night. He "condemned the Government policy all through and advocated the abolishment of freehold and leasehold land tenures, substituting a security of tenure whereby orice on the land no man could be put off it. He objected to the extravagant methods of the Government and to the raisTng of loans in London. He urged the establishment of a State bank, advocated proportional representation, and condemned the proposed expenditure of £500,000 on the Singapore base, urging that the amount would better be spent on propaganda for peaceful ideals.
