EMPIRE EXHIBITION. OFFICIAL PICTURES OP BEAUTIFUL NEW ZEALAND.

The Government manifesto advertising the beauty spots of New Zealand states: "If thousands come from overseas to visit the resorts of New Zealand, surely it must be worth your while to visit them. While it is not possible for many to actually visit these beautiful and wonderful resorts, it is ■possible to see them per medium of the motion picture. Such a. picture will be shown at His Majesty's Theatre on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, with a matinee on Thursday afternoon. Owing to the short time before the film and lecturer must leave for the Empire Exhibition, London, only a very hurried trip of the principal towns in New Zealand can be made, and only three nights can be allocated to AuckI land.

The picture to be shown is about 8000 ft or 9000 ft in length, and includes the famous spots of both North and South Island. Rotorua, of course, has its place; Te Aroha, Waitomo Caves, the Southern Lakes, and Sounds, the snowy peaks of the Alps, Mount Cook, Wanganui River, and of special local interest will he the scenes of Tongariro National Park taken by the Government photographer during the recent visit of the Wanganui Ski-in™ Club. The primary and secondary industries have their place in the film, which is the most complete and comprehensive picture of our own country yet screened. It is anticipated that the picture will arouse great interest in England, the United States, and Canada when shown in those countries next year. Mr. J. E. Winsloe, .who is in charge of the picture, will also give an interesting lecture, adding considerable interest with his pithy comments on places, things, and incidents.

Box plans are now on view at Lewis R. Eady and Son, Ltd.—(Ad.)
