Notice Is hereby given that a " Special I Meeting of the Waitemata County Council will be held on WEDNESDAY, the 19th day of December, 1923, at noon, at the County Office, corner of Princes and Shortland Streets, Auckland, when the following Special Resolution, passed at a special meeting of the said Council, held on the 19th day of October, 1923, will be sub mittcd for confirmation as a Special Order: "That the Waitemata County Council do hereby make a By-law, drawn -. for that purpose under the provisions of The Counties' Act, 1920, and the Health Act, 1920. and amendments thereto respectively, and every other Act In that behalf enabling It amending the Sanitary and Building Bylaws of the said Council, passed at a Special Meeting thereof, held on the Kith day of January, 1911, and confirmed at a Special Meeting thereof, held on the 3rd day of March. 1911, by revoking Clause 2 thereof, and substituting in lieu thereof provision that no person shall, after the Bylaw comes Into force, erect a dwelllnghouse in the County of Waitemata upon any site with' a less frontage than sixty feet to some public road or a less area than a quarter of an acre, provided that i. nothing in the clause shall apply to any case in which the site has a frontage of less than sixty feet to any public road, if such site abuts upon a public road by a narrow strip or lane of not less than 25 links In width at an ypart thereof, and if such narrow strip or lane is not more than 300 links in length and has a grade of not more than 1 In 10. "To provide that builalngs may be erected on sites which abut upon the sea for not less than 66ft, and have an area (exclusive of such strip or lane) of not less than one-third ol an acre, and if such site does not abut upon the sea or abuts upon it for less than 66ft, and In either case has an area (exclusive of such strip or lane) of not less than half-an-acre, to provide for the erection "ol shop and dwelling-houses combined on a frontage of not less than 40ft, with an area of one-sixth of an acre, with the provision that the external walls of such building shall be con structed of non-combustible material other than corrugated Iron.
