SYDNEY, December 7. At the pony racing inquiry further evidence was forthcoming from pony owners, trainers, and others or" alleged collusion between owners and hookmakers, bogus betting, "dead "uns," and betting by stewards. One witness declared that the present control was a regime of despotism- It was also alleged that some stewards were notorious bettors. Th.-y accepted bip: commissions from bookmakers and stampeded tlie ring. Another cl-arge was that steward- relic.i largely upon third degree methods of conducting inquiries.
