MELBOURNE, this day. Dr. Earle Page informed a deputation of Tasmanian politicians that the Commonwealth was already contributing sixteen per cent of Tasmania's total revenue, against seven per cent in NewSouth Wales. Before the Commonwealth could increase the present contribution of £35,000 to £200,000 Tasmania must exploit its taxable resources and then submit a- further statement to the Commonwealth.—(A. and N.Z.)
