IMPORT BOOM CONTINUES. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.! WELLINGTON, this .lay. The exports from New Zealand for the ten months ended October 31 totalled _39e7_>.000, compared with £36,741,000 for the corresponding period of last year. The imports totalled £36,083,000, compared with £'28,539,000. The imports for the ten months exceed by a million sterling the imports for the whole of the year 1922. Exports show a natural increase in general line 3, but the boom in imports was again very marked in October. The import of motor vehicles was 22 per cent higher than in October, 1922, and tlie total of the imports for the ten months was £1.946,745, or three times as much as for the corresponding period of 1922.
