SHE PICKS SEVENTH MATE.
PROM SCORES OF ADMIRERS. A. London woman, seventy-five years old, has achieved the record of getting married at the Portsmouth Registry Office for the seventh time in her life. She is Mrs. Jane Rebecca Williams, and her seventh husband is a Portsmouth carpenter, Frederick Sidney Whall, thirteen years the Junior of the bride. The wedding coach and "Becky," as she is familiarly known, met the bridegroom outside the local theatre. Ha was waiting to the registry office. "Frederick Ihe Seventh," as his friends call him, confessed to being extremely happy on being selected out of "the scores of persistent admirers," and already Is a person of much prominence in the suburb where the newly-wedded couple have settled down. Becky is a very active and cheerful woman. She admitted after the wedding that she couldn't stand living alone, but had chosen her present husband very cautiously. This, perhaps, because her last marriage venture, which began in July of 1922, came to an abrupt end with the "husband" being sent to gaol for bigamy.
