N. WAIROA STEAMSHIP CO.

NEGOTIATIONS FOR STEAMER. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DARCAVILLE, this day. A meeting of directors of the Northern Wairoa Steamship Company, Limited, held on the 6th inst., decided to put Mr. C. W. Williams on a canvass for more shares, the object being to increase the share capital sufficiently to enable the company to purchase a boat of about -400 or 500 tons capacity, suitable for the Auckland, Bay of Islands, Hokianga, and Northern Wairoa trade. Several boats nre already under ofTer to the company, and steps are being taken to secure more offers while the canvass for shares is proceeding. Mr. .Williams is setting out immediately to make an active canvass of the districts interested.
