HONEYMOONING CANDIDATES* GET BRIBES TO HELP. EVERYONE VOTES FOR LOVERS. (Received 1.30 p.m.} LOXDO> r , December 2. An interesting feature of the elections is that six candidates are combining honeymooning with electioneering, having married during the brief campaign, «nd the brides are energetically helping their husbands in canvassing. •Experienced election agents declare that these candidates are certain to top the poll, as many sympathetic voters (especially women) would sooner vote for a young bridegroom, irrespective of party/than for the elderly unromantic fetter of a family.—(A. and N.Z.)
