TIMBER STACK COLLAPSES.

' * ■ I WORKMAN BADLY INJURED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. While a single man named George Darling was engaged in stacking timber at Messrs. Ellis and Burnand's yards at Hamilton this morning, an adjoining stack toppled and fell on him. The stack weighed several tons, but fortunately some heavy projecting material protected Darling from the full weight of the collapse. Dr. Spencer was summoned, and found Darling suffering from several fractured ribs and a fractured collarbone, and his removal to the Waikato Hospital was ordered.
