JOCKEY SERIOUSLY INJURED.

■ A FALL IN THE HURDLES. (B; Telegraph.—Press Association.) \ PALMERSTON NORTH, Friday. An apprentice jockey, named C. T. Edwards, attached to the stable of Mr. J. Fryer, Hawera, aged 18 years, who sustained serious head and face injuries in a fall in the hurdles at the Feilding meeting, was admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital in a serious condition. At 11 o'clock to-night he was still unconscious.
