PRESENTATION.

Miss Slingsby Xewman, a former teacher at the Auckland Training College," was the guest of honour at a gathering of past students in the school last evening. Miss Newman, who is retiring after 17 years' service, was the recipient of a presentation of a coffee set as a token of esteem from the students. The presentation was made by the president of the Students' Association, Mr. A. M. Rowe. The remainder of the evening was passed with music and dancing.
