THROWN FROM SIDECAR.
FATAL MOTOR CYCLE ACCIDENT. (By Telcsrapn.-Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A motor cycle accident in Happy Valley Road on Saturday evening hid a fatal result. Victor Bennett was driving the cycle, with George Smith riding behind him, and Samuel Cubby in the side car. Tlie machine was going slowly down the road, as drainage works are in progress, but at. one sharp bend the side car tilted, and to counter this Bennett turned Die cycle suddenly. The machine struck a fence guarding the trench, and Cubby was thrown out into the ditch. He sustained a fractured spine, and died in hospital next morning. Deceased resided in Ilarland Street, Vogeltown.
