ROBBERY ALLEGED. MAN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. I A plea of "Not guilty" was entered 1 to-day by Lewis Raymond McLean (28), charged with assaulting and robbing Frederick Thomas ML-Cormick; of £2 S/. also a tie pin and watch chum worth £> 8/. Complainant stated that on October 22 he and accused were in town together and had several drinks. Accused 'had no money and they eventually linwhed up at the Western Park when accused threw him down, took what money he had, also the tie pin and chain and then cleared. i Detective McHugh said that when he arrested accused the latter admitted being with McCormick but denied tlie robbery or assault. Accused reserved his defence and I was commdtitied for trial.
