DOCTORS' STATE SCHEME.

] SOCIETIES STAND FIRM. ' LONDON, October 19. j A crisis has developed in the State ' medical insurance service. The Minister for Health's rejection of the panel : doctors' request for arhitration on his proposal to reduce their fees by 1/ to 8/0 a head led to a meeting of doctors in London convoked by the Insurance Act Committee of the British Medical ' Association. Two hundred doctors were present, representing the whole of Britain. The meeting unanimously rejected the Ministry's terms. This is expected to lead to the resignation of doctors, who arc credited with the intention to launch their own medical service. Approved societies yesterday decided to resist any call on their funds beyond the fee of 8/6.—(Router.)
