SIGNOR PUCCINI'S MUSIC.
AIJ ACTION AT LAW. ROUE, October 19. On the ground that the themes of his operas are beinrj put to artistically and morally degrading use, Signor Puccini has commenced an action against the publishing: firm of Ricordi and Company. Signor Puccini claims that his themes have been plagiarised for American foxtrot music, and states that the principal airs in "La Tosca" and "Madame Butterfly' , have been so used. He demands payment of receipts from all sales and an indemnity for moral and artistic damages.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.),
