SECRETARY EXONERATED. SYDNEY, this day. The Acting-Prime Minister, Dr. Earle Page, announces that the Royal Commission on the sugar transactions in 1920 exonerates the former private secretary to the ex-Prime Minister, Mr. W. M. Hughes, and he will resume his position as secretary to the Prime Minister's department on October 11.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
