COACH CAPSIZES.

RUNAWAY AT TE AWAMUTU. An exciting runaway occurred at Te Awamutu on Wednesday. The Kihi-kihi-Te Awamutu coach team, evidently taking fright at some unusual object while the driver was on the footpath, bolted from in front of the Commercial Hotel right down to the railway line. Tlie animals tried to swerve round tlie corner leading to the railway station, but had too much way on, and the vehicle came to a stop on a small bank near the corner, capsizing. Fortunately the horses did not become fractious, and the passengers—three men and a lady—were able to scramble out, badly shaken, but otherwise little hurt. Another passenger jumped off the coach further up the street, and came off worst of all. though he did not suffer serious injury.
