TAKAPUNA BURGLARIES.
RAID OX THE HOTEL. A series of burglaries have been committed at Takapuna and Milford during be past few weeks. W. R. Hellabv's utehers shop, at Hall's Corner, w : as ntered some two weeks asro when the afe was blown open and a" considerable urn in notes and cash was taken, while he bar at Mon Desir Hotel has been rok-en into twice within the last six eeks. On the first occasion the thieves ere evidently disturbed, as notion- was ouched, but last Wednesday ere more successful, a quantity of stock nd a small sum i„ cas h being secured, n addition, the confectionery store at he Bridgeway Theatre, Milford, was ntered. a large quantity of chocolates tc, being secured, while one of the rapcry stores was broken into silk etc eing stolen. The police are 'investicraing the matter.
