The Canadian Pioneer arrived from the East Coast to-day, and berthed at the Queens wharf to load general crago for New York, Boston and Montreal She is expected to clear on Monday. MAKUUA EN ROUTE. The Canadian-Australian mail liner Makura is due at Suva on Monday, en route from Vancouver. She will be due at this port on Frnday next, aud will sail the same evening for Sydney. Mr. N. McCallum. ex the Wlngatul, Is now third engineer of the Waitemutn. The Awahou left Glsbome last night and will be due at Auckland to-morrow night. The Isabella de Fraiue sails this evening for Ilokianga. The Atlin leaves Dunediu this evening for Aiickluiid via inirts. The Navua left Lytteltnn yesterday afternoon for Auckland via Wellington. The Karorj left Auckland last night, and is now loading cement at Portland for New Plymouth, Wellington aud I.yttelton. Mr. N. V. The Fanners' 'Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd.. advise that the Port Curtis will leave Napier to-night and will lie due here on Sunday night, when she will berth at the eastern side of the Queeu's Wharf to load for London. WIArnEMATA IN 'PORT. The Union Company's steamer Wnltematn. o.Lfl tons (Captain T. V. 111111. arrived from Calcutta this morning, via ports and berthed at the King's wharf at 9 a.m. to discbarge a small quantity of general cargo, including pineapples from Singapore mid kapok from Samarang. The steamer cleared Calcutta on August 10, arrived at Singapore on the 20th and left on the for Samarang, sailing from the last-named .port for New Zealand on the Ui'.Ph. During loading frequent rain was experienced, due to the monsoons, but the voyage was made in good weather. On September 3 a pilot was taken ou board In Torres Strait for the voyage down the Queensland coast, leaving the ship at Cape JMoreton on the Oth. Fresh west-south-west winds were met with on the Tasnian Sea, accompanied by a .heavy southerly swell. During the voyage down the coast yesterday exceptionally heavy rain was reported off Cape Brett.
