Tlje (Jenev* correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" states that not since the Graeco-Italian crisis of Sunday last has a greater danger existed of the collapse of the League of Nations than at present. Many countries would gladly withdraw av.-\r.g to the heavy financial burden of membership. Itah two years ago found that the coat equalled the cost, of her diplomatic service New Zealand pays £f,OfH) a year, and Tndisi £1000 a week. The secretary of the League of Nations states that the expenses of the Secretvriat had been reduced 13 per cent, and the general expenses of the International I-abour Office had been reduced IS per cent, compared with last year.
