HO FINANCIAL STATEMENT. ' VALUE OF STOCK IN QUESTION. 'A meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of John Craven Carden, general storekeeper, of Pukekohe. was held nt the office of the Official Assignee this afternoon, but had to be adjourned on account of tho. fact that a schedule of assets and liabilities had not yet been furnished. The Official Assignee. Mr. W. S. Fisher, stated that the value of the stock and plant had been estimated at £008. A creditor remarked that at a meeting held in the office of the bankrupt's solicitors the value had been set clown as £2050. Mr. Mahoney, representing the bankrupt, said that there was no reason for his client over-esti-mating his stock. .After some discussion it was agreed that, pending the next meeting on September 25, a committee of three work in conjunction with the Assignee with a view of ascertaining the best method of realising the stock.
