Owing to low crop estimates by private companies cotton rose to the highest points during the present year, both in the local market and in Xew Orleans, though the pains wore lost in Xtw York. lieforc -the day's trading ended the October cotton rose to "27A cents, at New York, and '2~i at Xew Orleans. In the day's trading Xew York showed a final gain of "25 pointe and Xew Orleans of one hundred points. ■Cotton has risen approximately 7 cents in six weeks.— (A. and X.Z. Cable.)
