RAIN AT WAIMAUKU.
SEVERE SHOWERS AND WIND. CREEKS SWOLLEN CONSIDERABLY. FLAT LAND INUNDATED. (By TelegTaph. —Press Association.) WAIMAL'KL", this day. Heavy rains have fallen at Waimauku during "the past few days. The wet weather set in on Saturday aiternoon and continued steadily throughout the night. Showers were experienced all day Sunday while on Monday the downpour was particularly severe and between three and five oVlock in the afternoon was accompanied by a sharp hailstorm. In the intervals between showers the wind blew from the SOUthwest with considerable tone and added to the unpleasantness of the weather This morning the rainy conditions Uad not yet ceased. As a result of the rains the Waimauku stream and the surrounding creeks have overflowed their banks and all the Hat land hafl been inundated. So da.wii.fK to property has been reported as arwuig from the floods and heavy ram.
