FARMERS' MEAT COMPANY.
A GOOD BALANCE-SHEET. An exceedingly satisfactory balance-sheet for the year ended July 31, 1933, lias been Issued by the Hnwke's Bay Farmers' Ment Company, Limited. This is due to tne fact that the company was well supported during the year, for the stock handled totalled 844.2U7 sheep and lnnibs. and KXMJ cattle. The profit and loss account sbow3 tli.it freezing sales manufactures, etc, after deducting wages, etc., yielded £34,334 5/11; rents brought in £42.1 8/3, and transfer Tees £10. making it total of £34,08.0 14/2. General expenses, including salaries, etc.. totalled £0522 10/4, rates and taxes £483 5/1, insurances 11322 2/3, and interest and rtisconnts £252 1/3, making a total of £11,----r.SO 5/1. and showing a net iprofit for tie year of £23,400 9/1. To this must be added £2551. 0/n brought forward from the previous year, making available £25,700 9/10. Out of this the directors have added £10,000 to the reserve, and £0000 has been set aside as provision for income tax : th<> dividend for the year at the rate of 8 per cent absorbs £0077 8/3, leaving £3653 • 1/7 to tie carried forward.
